Not a fan of the drinks coaster? Take another look.
Drinks… yes … Coast …yes, loving the coast…and to coast…Er… yes.
What’s not to like?
Another round.
Just banish those bad Jason memories. You know the ones?
Laminated images of tulips or birds or some such twee scene on a cork base.
Your Mother/ Auntie/ Nana might have them. Shudder, then spill your drink.
Clearly come in handy, wooden they?
Hip Nana style. Plastic not cotton for doily use. More shudders.
From sucky humour.
A toast.
Many toasts = toasted. Everyday.
Well it is summer here…
And it’s Sydney not California though Bethany Cosentino.
Cheers

yep, gotta love coasters. they make cleaning the parker furniture so much easier (no horrible drink rings.) and yes- just say no to jason coasters – life is too short and lovely coasters are too plentiful!
Absolutely Edwina. I bet you have some cool Parker pieces. I’m desperate for a sideboard. By the way do still have the little His Master’s Voice dog for sale?
hi sandy- i don’t have any parker furniture…but by gum i’d like to! have you seen the shop at mitchell road auctions (alexandria) where they recondition and sell parker? that place is fantastic. and i’ll send you the his masters voice dog figurine….i only used him for styling. email me your address at reretroblog@gmail.com and i’ll whack him in the mail.
I don’t have any Parker furniture either Edwina. I nearly bought some fabric chairs to be reupholstered last year but my husband didn’t like them, some not so fond memories of an uncles place, apparently. Anyway I have more chairs than I know what to do with… Also I am embarrassed to say, i still have not been to Mitchell Road, so many people keep telling me I HAVE to go and believe it or not, i was planning to go this week, sometimes i get stuck in my Northern Beaches bubble and don’t venture too far. Plus I don’t want to bore the pants off my kids and I really do love to shop alone. I hear its pretty expensive. Will email you re the dog. You are so awesome! : ]
Love the cool coasters. It’s one of those things you don’t think much about until you need one! Of course not having rings on your table is a plus… but great music is even better. I’m a HUGE Best Coast Fan. I should have know you’d be one too.
Another song I love on this album (my anthem) ” How they Want Me To Be”
Their last album was pretty great too. Love that you sneak those in. We have such similar taste (in many things). Happy New Year!
Thanks Stacey, haven’t heard much of you in a while. Hope you have been having too much fun to blog! I’m listening to that track right now, such a great sound. So retro but totally now. Didn’t have the whole album, but I do now because I trust your taste, absolutely. Happy New Year to you too.
