what chair is that?
This one is a miniature LCW I picked up [easily] for $2 at the School’s Stylist’s Garage sale a few weekends ago. My first little bit of Eames!
Big fan of the chair? You might like this. I’ve spent some time creating a pinterest board of my favourite iconic chairs. [I considered calling this post Chair woman of the Board but decided it was a tad OTT]
Basically it’s a massive wish list with some info thrown in. Designer, year, manufacturers etc. Down the track I’ll add more info about spotting replicas, the differences and benefits etc.
I love this one, an example of Shaker Furniture [salt shaker, heh], if only it was about 1000% larger…

That teeny Eames is great! My fave chair is definitely the Knoll Tulip. And we happen to have a little miniature one of those 🙂

I also love miniatures, I think considering the size of our [small] house my iconic designer chair collection will have to be in miniature form. The mini tulip would be so cute! Cheers
$2.00! I can’t believe you got that for $2.00. I LOVE IT! I would love to have some miniature versions of our favorite chairs but they are pretty expensive. You really got lucky.
I do love this chair. I have it in wood and metal (LCM) and they are super comfy. I like a nice hard chair that fits the body well. Love your pinterest board. ALL FABULOUS CHAIRS! The Emeco Navy chair is also a favorite at our house. Another hard chair that we use and abuse. They’re so light you can just sling them around and use them anywhere. Shamefully I even use them as step stools. Not smart…but very convenient. 🙂 Glad to know I’m not the only one with a chair fetish. So many great designs!
Hey Stacey. Its a very miniature miniature. Not even 2 inches tall. Smaller than most isn’t it? Or not? I don’t have any other mini chairs to compare with [except the salt shaker] but I am now on the look out for this set MINI Designer Chairs Vol 1. see here http://www.bcmini.com/id81.html which has the Tulip, the Barcelona and the Panton in my favourite blue, among others. I’m not having much luck finding it, seems to be sold out. Shame, soo very cute 🙂
